Real-world legal services, not digital goods

What an Alecsgroup subscription buys

An Alecsgroup membership is a legal-services plan. Members pay for access to real-world professional services delivered by independent, licensed lawyers, notaries and bailiffs (huissiers de justice) in the countries we cover.

Each plan includes a defined number of lawyer, notary or bailiff consultations, document review by a licensed professional, professional document preparation and filing assistance, priority booking and matching, discounts on litigation and court representation, and human support by phone and chat.

These services are performed by human professionals off-device. They are not digital content and are not consumed inside the app.

Digital and AI tools are included at no additional charge

The AI Legal Assistant, the Avani help desk and AI-assisted document drafting are support features included with a legal-services plan at no additional charge. They exist to help members prepare for and follow up on the professional services they purchased.

AI tools are not sold separately, are not priced separately, and cannot be purchased on their own. No plan price is attributable to AI access.

Alecsgroup does not sell digital goods or in-app content

There is no in-app purchase of digital goods, AI credits, AI capacity, tokens, unlocks, virtual currency or downloadable content anywhere in the app. Standalone AI credit top-ups have been removed from the product.

The only transaction available is a recurring legal-services membership, plus fees for professional services (for example consultations or filings) rendered by licensed professionals.

How payments are processed

Payments are processed by Stripe (card) and by African mobile-money providers (MTN MoMo, Orange Money, Wave, Airtel Money, Moov Money, M-Pesa) for services rendered by professionals. Every transaction is issued a tracked invoice number.

Because the transaction pays for real-world professional services rather than digital content, Google Play Billing is not used and is not required under Google Play's payments policy for real-world products and services.

Role of Alecsgroup

Alecsgroup Inc. is a legal-technology platform, not a law firm. Legal advice and legal acts are provided exclusively by independent licensed professionals bound by the rules of their bar or professional chamber. Alecsgroup provides the platform, scheduling, records and support tooling.
