Alecsgroup Terms of Service

The official Alecsgroup Terms of Service and Privacy & Security Policy governing your access to and use of the Platform. Please read them carefully.

Alecsgroup Terms and Conditions (Full)

Scope of these Terms

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Alecsgroup Inc. ("Alecsgroup," "Company," "we," "our," or "us"), including our website, mobile applications, APIs, artificial intelligence services, legal technology platform, and all related products and services (collectively, the "Platform").

Acceptance, eligibility, and no attorney-client relationship

Alecsgroup Inc. is a United States company created in the state of Delaware 2026 that operates a Legal Technology ("LegalTech") marketplace connecting individuals, businesses, contractors and organizations with independent licensed lawyers, notaries, bailiffs, mediators, arbitrators, and other legal professionals throughout supported jurisdictions, including the Republic of Cameroon, the Republic of Côte d'Ivoire, OHADA Member States, CEMAC Member States, and any additional countries where Alecsgroup lawfully provides services. By downloading, accessing, registering for, or using the Alecsgroup website, mobile application, or any related services (collectively, the "Platform"), you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be legally bound by these Terms and Conditions. You represent and warrant that you are at least eighteen (18) years of age, possess the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement, and will comply with all applicable laws and regulations. Alecsgroup is a technology platform that connects users with independent licensed legal professionals and provides legal technology services; it is not a law firm and does not itself provide legal advice, legal representation, or establish an attorney-client relationship. Any legal advice or representation is provided solely by the independent lawyer or legal professional selected by the user, and no attorney-client relationship exists until that professional expressly agrees to represent the user.

Accounts, verification, and account security

Users are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their account credentials, providing accurate and complete information, safeguarding their devices, and promptly notifying Alecsgroup of any unauthorized access or suspected security breach. Alecsgroup reserves the right to verify identities through Know Your Customer (KYC) procedures, suspend or terminate accounts involved in fraud, identity theft, money laundering, cybercrime, harassment, intellectual property infringement, unlawful conduct, false representations, multiple unauthorized accounts, or any activity that threatens the safety, security, or integrity of the Platform.

Intellectual property

All content, software, trademarks, logos, graphics, databases, artificial intelligence systems, source code, APIs, designs, documentation, and proprietary technology available through Alecsgroup are protected by applicable intellectual property laws and remain the exclusive property of Alecsgroup or its licensors. Users may not reproduce, copy, modify, distribute, reverse engineer, decompile, scrape, exploit, or otherwise misuse any portion of the Platform without prior written authorization.

Acceptable use and user content

Users agree to use the Platform lawfully and shall not upload malicious software, transmit illegal or defamatory content, engage in fraudulent or deceptive activities, interfere with Platform operations, attempt unauthorized access to systems, violate the rights of others, or misuse the services in any manner prohibited by law. Users are solely responsible for the legality, accuracy, ownership, and authenticity of all information, documents, and materials uploaded to the Platform and represent that they possess all necessary rights and permissions to submit such content.

Artificial intelligence features

Any artificial intelligence features, automated recommendations, legal information, document generation, or chatbot responses are provided solely for informational and educational purposes and do not constitute legal advice, legal opinions, or guarantees of legal outcomes. Users acknowledge that AI-generated information may contain errors or omissions and agree to consult a qualified licensed legal professional before relying upon such information for legal decisions.

Fees, billing, and payments

Subscription fees, consultation fees, referral commissions, payment processing fees, taxes, renewals, refunds, and billing practices shall be governed by Alecsgroup's applicable pricing policies. Users authorize recurring billing where applicable and acknowledge that payment processors operate independently. Alecsgroup is not responsible for delays, payment failures, currency conversions, banking errors, Mobile Money interruptions, chargebacks, or third-party payment processing issues.

Legal professionals on the Platform

Lawyers and legal professionals using the Platform represent that they possess all licenses, certifications, and legal authority required to practice in their jurisdictions, will comply with applicable professional ethics rules, maintain client confidentiality, avoid conflicts of interest, and provide services independently. Alecsgroup does not supervise, control, or guarantee the professional services provided by independent lawyers.

Associates and referral partners

Associates and referral partners must comply with Alecsgroup's referral policies. Fraudulent referrals, fake accounts, self-referrals, manipulation of commissions, or any deceptive activity may result in commission forfeiture, account termination, legal action, and recovery of improperly obtained funds.

Disclaimers and limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Alecsgroup disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, availability, accuracy, reliability, uninterrupted service, or non-infringement. The Platform and all services are provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE." Alecsgroup shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, punitive, exemplary, or special damages, including loss of profits, business interruption, legal outcomes, data loss, missed deadlines, attorney conduct, third-party services, system failures, cyberattacks, force majeure events, governmental actions, internet outages, or technical interruptions. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Alecsgroup's aggregate liability shall not exceed the total amount paid by the user to Alecsgroup during the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

Indemnification

Users agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Alecsgroup, its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, contractors, licensors, partners, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, expenses, judgments, penalties, or attorneys' fees arising from their misuse of the Platform, breach of these Terms, violation of applicable laws, infringement of intellectual property rights, fraudulent conduct, uploaded content, or interactions with third parties.

Dispute resolution, governing law, and general provisions

Any disputes arising from these Terms or the use of the Platform shall first be submitted to good-faith negotiation and mediation and, where legally enforceable, resolved through binding arbitration before either party initiates court proceedings. Where arbitration is not enforceable, disputes shall be governed by the applicable laws and courts designated by Alecsgroup's governing law provision. Users waive participation in class actions or representative proceedings to the fullest extent permitted by law. These Terms constitute the entire agreement between the parties, may be updated periodically, and continued use of the Platform constitutes acceptance of any revisions. If any provision is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect. In no event shall Alecsgroup be held liable for damages exceeding the amount paid in the last 12 months. "This agreement is governed by the laws of your country/state and dispute shall be resolved in your country. Data is erased within 90 days except where retention is required by law. These safeguards include encryption in transit using modern TLS protocols, encryption at rest using strong industry-standard algorithms, secure password hashing, multi-factor authentication, role-based access control, least-privilege authorization, secure cloud infrastructure, firewalls, web application firewalls, intrusion detection and prevention systems, continuous monitoring, vulnerability scanning, penetration testing, audit logging, backup encryption, disaster recovery planning, incident response procedures, malware protection, API security, secure software development practices, code reviews, dependency monitoring, database security controls, rate limiting, session management, secure mobile storage, biometric authentication where supported, and regular security assessments.

Retention, user rights, and disclosure

Personal information is retained only for as long as necessary to fulfill contractual, legal, regulatory, operational, security, dispute resolution, fraud prevention, and recordkeeping obligations, after which it is securely deleted, anonymized, or archived in accordance with applicable law. Users may have rights, subject to applicable legal limitations, to access, correct, update, export, restrict certain processing, object where applicable, or request deletion of their personal information. Alecsgroup may disclose information only where necessary to provide requested services, process payments, verify identities, support lawful investigations, comply with court orders or legal obligations, protect users, prevent fraud, enforce Platform policies, or work with carefully selected service providers operating under appropriate contractual and confidentiality obligations.

AI model training and customer content

Starting on the effective date of September 12, 2026, Alecsgroup may use Customer Content — your prompts (including images and files you attach), code, project files, and generated outputs — and usage data from Free and Pro plans to train, develop, and improve our AI models. You can opt out at any time in Account Settings → Privacy. If you opt out before the effective date, your data will not be used for training at all; if you opt out later, your data will be excluded going forward.

Importantly, Alecsgroup will not use your apps' end-user data or your account and billing details for training our AI models.

Standards, inherent risk, and updates

Although Alecsgroup employs comprehensive security measures and follows recognized cybersecurity best practices, including principles aligned with standards such as ISO/IEC 27001, PCI DSS where applicable, and other relevant legal and regulatory requirements, no method of electronic storage, transmission, or internet communication can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Users acknowledge and accept this inherent risk while agreeing to maintain the security of their own devices, passwords, and accounts. Alecsgroup reserves the right to update this Privacy and Security Policy as laws, regulations, technologies, and business practices evolve, and continued use of the Platform constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

Qualifying and Non-Qualifying Legal Events & Subscription Coverage

Alecsgroup services apply to eligible legal matters arising from qualifying events that occur while the client has an active, paid subscription. A matter that originated, occurred, or became legally actionable before the subscription effective date is generally not eligible for subscription-based coverage.

1. Purpose of this provision

Alecsgroup provides subscription-based access to legal services, legal professionals, legal information, legal assistance, and other services made available through the Alecsgroup platform.

Subscription benefits are intended to assist subscribers with eligible legal matters arising from qualifying events occurring during the period in which the subscriber maintains an active and eligible Alecsgroup subscription.

Alecsgroup does not provide retroactive coverage for legal matters, disputes, claims, incidents, transactions, or legal circumstances that originated before the subscriber's Coverage Effective Date, except where a specific service or subscription plan expressly states otherwise.

2. Definition of a Qualifying Event

A Qualifying Event is an event, circumstance, transaction, occurrence, or legal issue that:

  • Occurs on or after the effective date of the client's eligible Alecsgroup subscription;
  • Occurs while the client's subscription is active and in good standing;
  • Falls within the legal services and benefits included in the client's selected subscription tier;
  • Is submitted in accordance with Alecsgroup's applicable procedures;
  • Does not fall within an applicable exclusion, limitation, waiting period, conflict-of-interest restriction, geographic restriction, or other limitation; and
  • Can reasonably be handled by an available and appropriately qualified legal professional through the Alecsgroup platform.
3. When coverage begins

Coverage and subscription eligibility begin on the Coverage Effective Date identified in the client's account, subscription confirmation, or applicable subscription documentation.

Unless expressly stated otherwise in the client's subscription plan, an event occurring before the Coverage Effective Date is not considered a Qualifying Event.

Alecsgroup may consider when the underlying event, transaction, dispute, claim, injury, breach, violation, or notice giving rise to the legal matter actually occurred or began — not merely when the client discovered the matter, contacted Alecsgroup, or submitted a request for assistance.

4. Pre-Existing Legal Matters

A Pre-Existing Legal Matter means a legal matter, dispute, claim, incident, transaction, proceeding, investigation, obligation, or circumstance that originated, occurred, or became legally actionable before the client's Coverage Effective Date. Pre-Existing Legal Matters are generally not eligible for subscription-based legal coverage. Examples include, but are not limited to:

  • A contract dispute that arose before the client subscribed;
  • A landlord-tenant dispute that began before subscription;
  • A debt, unpaid obligation, or collection matter that existed before subscription;
  • A lawsuit filed before subscription;
  • A government investigation or administrative proceeding that began before subscription;
  • A criminal, civil, commercial, employment, family, property, immigration, or regulatory matter that originated before subscription;
  • A legal demand, notice, claim, or threat received before subscription;
  • A transaction completed or substantially initiated before subscription that later generates a dispute;
  • An injury, accident, or property loss occurring before subscription;
  • A dispute that the client knew or reasonably should have known existed before subscribing; or
  • A matter where the underlying facts occurred before subscription even though the proceeding begins afterwards.
5. Non-Qualifying Events

A Non-Qualifying Event is an event or legal matter that does not satisfy the eligibility requirements for subscription coverage. Unless specifically included in a client's plan, Non-Qualifying Events may include:

  • Events before subscription — any legal event occurring before the Coverage Effective Date;
  • Known or anticipated matters the client knew about or reasonably anticipated before subscribing;
  • Existing disputes with another person, company, organisation, or governmental authority;
  • Existing litigation, arbitration, mediation, administrative proceedings, hearings, or appeals;
  • Existing claims, demands, notices, complaints, allegations, or threatened actions;
  • Retroactive requests where the underlying event occurred before subscription;
  • Fraudulent or misleading claims based on inaccurate, incomplete, or intentionally withheld information about when the event occurred;
  • Matters outside the client's subscription tier, geographic coverage, or professional-service scope.
6. The date of the legal event controls

For eligibility purposes, Alecsgroup may distinguish between the date the underlying event occurred, the date the client became aware of it, the date a legal claim was made, the date the client contacted Alecsgroup, and the date a legal proceeding was formally initiated.

The relevant date is generally the date on which the underlying legal event or circumstance giving rise to the matter occurred or began.

Example: if a client signs a contract on 1 January, a breach occurs on 1 February, and the client subscribes on 1 March, the 1 February dispute is generally a Pre-Existing Legal Matter. The 1 March subscription does not make the 1 February event eligible.

7. Continuing or recurring events

Where an event begins before the Coverage Effective Date and continues afterwards, Alecsgroup may treat the matter as a Pre-Existing Legal Matter if the post-subscription circumstances arise from or are substantially connected to the pre-subscription event.

Where a new and independent legal event occurs after the Coverage Effective Date, that new event may be evaluated separately for eligibility. Alecsgroup may request documentation to make that determination.

8. New events during an existing dispute

The existence of a pre-existing dispute does not automatically mean that every subsequent event between the parties is excluded. Alecsgroup may evaluate whether a subsequent event is a continuation, a consequence, a new legal claim, a separate and independent event, or otherwise excluded by the plan.

9. Subscription must remain active

A Qualifying Event must generally occur while the client's subscription is active and in good standing. If a subscription expires, is cancelled, suspended, terminated, or becomes delinquent, access to subscription benefits may cease or be limited.

Alecsgroup does not guarantee continued legal representation after termination of a subscription unless required by applicable law, professional obligations, or an existing engagement agreement.

10. Subscription does not guarantee legal representation

Alecsgroup is a platform connecting clients with participating legal professionals. A subscription does not automatically guarantee that every matter will be accepted, that a particular lawyer will represent the client, that a lawyer-client relationship will be established, that court representation is included, that fees outside subscription benefits will be covered, or that a particular result will be achieved.

Where representation is required, the participating legal professional independently determines whether they can accept the matter based on professional rules, competence, availability, conflicts of interest, and applicable law.

11. Legal professional conflicts of interest

A qualifying event may still be declined or reassigned if the selected lawyer, notary, bailiff, or other legal professional has an actual or potential conflict of interest. Alecsgroup may connect the client with another qualified professional where reasonably available.

Professional independence remains with the legal professional. Alecsgroup does not direct a legal professional to violate professional duties, applicable law, or ethical rules.

12. Client's duty to provide accurate information

The client must provide truthful, complete, and accurate information when creating an account, purchasing a subscription, requesting legal assistance, reporting an event, providing dates and circumstances, uploading documents, and communicating with Alecsgroup or a legal professional.

The client must not intentionally change, conceal, misrepresent, or omit the date or circumstances of a legal event to obtain benefits for a matter that is otherwise ineligible. If Alecsgroup determines that material information was intentionally misrepresented or withheld, the request may be denied and further action taken as permitted by the Terms and applicable law.

13. Verification of eligibility

Alecsgroup may review information reasonably necessary to determine whether a matter qualifies, including dates of relevant events, contracts, notices and correspondence, court and government documents, invoices or payment records, communications between the parties, and evidence of when a dispute began.

Alecsgroup may request additional information before connecting the client with a legal professional or authorising a particular benefit.

14. Examples of Qualifying Events

Subject to the client's tier and all applicable exclusions, the following may qualify when the underlying event first occurs after the Coverage Effective Date:

  • New contract dispute — a client subscribes on 1 April, enters a new contract on 15 April, and the other party breaches on 1 May.
  • New employment matter — during the subscription period, an employer takes an action creating a new employment-related legal issue.
  • New property dispute — a new property-related incident occurs after the Coverage Effective Date.
15. Examples of Non-Qualifying Events
  • Dispute before subscription — a dispute with a contractor in January; the client subscribes in March and requests help with the January dispute.
  • Lawsuit already pending — a lawsuit filed before the person subscribed.
  • Known contract breach — the client knew of the breach before subscribing and waited to request assistance.
  • Existing debt — a payment dispute that existed before the client subscribed after receiving collection communications.
16. No retroactive coverage

Unless expressly stated in a specific Alecsgroup plan, promotion, written agreement, or applicable law, Alecsgroup does not provide retroactive subscription coverage. The purchase of a subscription after an event has occurred does not create coverage for that event.

17. Separate fees for non-qualifying matters

Alecsgroup or a participating legal professional may, where legally permitted and separately agreed, offer assistance with a Non-Qualifying Matter for an additional fee. Any such service is separate from subscription benefits and may require a separate engagement agreement. The client will be informed of applicable charges before being required to proceed.

18. No guarantee of outcome

Subscription eligibility means a matter may qualify for access to applicable benefits. It does not guarantee success in litigation, settlement, recovery of money, avoidance of liability, approval by a court or authority, a particular strategy, or any particular legal outcome.

19. Emergency and time-sensitive legal matters

Clients should not delay seeking appropriate legal assistance because they are waiting for an eligibility determination. Where a legal deadline, court appearance, arrest, filing deadline, or limitation period may apply, the client should seek assistance immediately. Submitting a request through Alecsgroup does not extend, suspend, or preserve any legal deadline.

20. Eligibility determination

Alecsgroup may conduct an initial administrative eligibility review based on the information provided. The participating legal professional may independently determine whether they can accept or continue the matter. Where there is uncertainty, Alecsgroup may request additional information before making a determination.

An outcome of “unable to establish eligibility” is not a finding that the client acted fraudulently. These are two distinct outcomes and are recorded separately.

21. No waiver by Alecsgroup

If Alecsgroup provides assistance for a matter that may appear outside the normal scope of a subscription, that assistance does not create a precedent or guarantee that similar matters will be covered in future. Any exception or goodwill accommodation is not a permanent modification of benefits unless confirmed in writing by an authorised representative of Alecsgroup.

22. Changes to subscription benefits

Alecsgroup may modify subscription plans, eligibility requirements, exclusions, service limits, pricing, or other program terms in accordance with the applicable Terms and law. The terms applicable to a matter will generally be those of the client's plan in effect when the relevant event occurred.

23. Important client acknowledgment

By purchasing or maintaining an Alecsgroup subscription, submitting a legal assistance request, or using subscription benefits, the client acknowledges and understands that:

  • Subscription benefits are not automatically retroactive;
  • Legal events occurring before the Coverage Effective Date generally do not qualify;
  • A client cannot create eligibility for an existing dispute simply by subscribing after it began;
  • The underlying date and circumstances of the legal event may be reviewed;
  • A matter must also fall within the client's selected plan;
  • A qualifying event does not guarantee acceptance by a particular legal professional;
  • Conflicts of interest and professional obligations may affect representation;
  • Additional fees may apply to services outside subscription benefits; and
  • Alecsgroup does not guarantee any particular legal outcome.
24. Plain-language summary

If the eligible legal problem happens while your Alecsgroup subscription is active, the matter may qualify for the legal benefits included in your plan.

If the legal problem happened before your subscription became active, it is generally considered a pre-existing matter and will not be covered. Subscribing after a dispute, claim, incident, or legal problem has already occurred does not make that previous matter eligible.

25. Governing terms and applicable law

These provisions are subject to the Alecsgroup Terms and Conditions, the applicable subscription agreement, any professional engagement agreement, and the laws and professional regulations applicable to the specific legal service and jurisdiction.

Mandatory consumer-protection laws, legal-profession regulations, and data-protection requirements may supersede or modify a provision. If any provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect.

This provision is intended to clearly explain subscription eligibility and is not a substitute for legal advice.

X. Data, privacy, AI, user content, billing, and platform safety

The following provisions are contractual obligations that apply to every Alecsgroup account. They should be read together with the Privacy & Security Policy, Cookie Notice, Refund & Chargeback Policy, and the Alecsgroup AI and acceptable-use policies.

X.1 Privacy Policy and data protection

Alecsgroup maintains a Privacy Policy that explains how Alecsgroup collects, uses, stores, processes, shares, protects, and retains personal information and other data. The Privacy Policy is incorporated into these Terms and Conditions by reference.

By creating an account or using Alecsgroup, you acknowledge that you have had the opportunity to review the Privacy Policy and understand that information may be processed as necessary to provide, secure, improve, administer, and support Alecsgroup services.

Alecsgroup will implement commercially reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information and other data against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, loss, misuse, or destruction.

X.2 Collection and use of user data

Alecsgroup may collect information necessary to create and maintain accounts, verify identity, provide legal-service marketplace functionality, process subscriptions and payments, communicate with users, provide customer support, prevent fraud, maintain security, comply with applicable law, and operate and improve the Platform.

The categories of information collected may include account information, contact information, authentication information, transaction information, device and technical information, communications, documents and files uploaded by users, case-related information, service preferences, and information otherwise voluntarily submitted through the Platform.

Alecsgroup does not represent that it collects no user data. Alecsgroup instead discloses applicable data collection and processing practices through its Privacy Policy and the notices presented to users.

X.3 Artificial intelligence and automated processing

Alecsgroup may use artificial intelligence, machine-learning systems, automated processing, and AI-enabled assistants, including Avani, to support platform operations and provide features such as customer support, information organization, document processing, workflow assistance, communication assistance, fraud detection, service routing, and other authorized platform functions.

Where applicable, information submitted to an AI-enabled feature may be processed by Alecsgroup or by authorized technology providers in order to provide that feature.

Users must not assume that AI-generated information constitutes legal advice, a legal opinion, attorney-client representation, or a substitute for review by a qualified legal professional.

AI-generated content may contain errors, omissions, outdated information, or inappropriate conclusions. Users are responsible for independently verifying material information before relying upon it, particularly where legal rights, deadlines, financial obligations, court proceedings, immigration matters, property, contracts, or other significant interests are involved.

X.4 Third-party service providers and data processors

Alecsgroup may use trusted third-party service providers, contractors, technology providers, payment processors, cloud infrastructure providers, authentication providers, communications providers, analytics providers, security providers, AI providers, and other processors necessary to operate and provide Alecsgroup services.

Such providers may process information on Alecsgroup's behalf or as otherwise permitted by applicable law and contractual arrangements.

Alecsgroup will maintain appropriate contractual, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect information processed by authorized service providers. Additional information regarding categories of third parties and applicable data-processing practices is provided in the Alecsgroup Privacy Policy.

X.5 User-uploaded documents and content

Users may upload documents, photographs, evidence, identification documents, contracts, case materials, communications, and other content to Alecsgroup.

Users retain ownership of content they lawfully own, subject to the rights and licences necessary for Alecsgroup to host, store, process, transmit, display, analyze, secure, and otherwise use such content solely as reasonably necessary to provide, maintain, protect, and improve the applicable Alecsgroup services and as otherwise authorized by the user or permitted by law.

Users represent that they have the necessary rights, permissions, and authority to upload and submit such content, and must not upload information that they are prohibited from disclosing or sharing.

X.6 Retention and deletion of user uploads

Alecsgroup does not represent that uploaded files are retained indefinitely. Alecsgroup may establish retention periods based on the type of information, the applicable service, account status, legal or regulatory requirements, security requirements, contractual obligations, dispute-resolution requirements, backups, and legitimate business purposes.

Where applicable, users may request deletion of eligible content or account information through the mechanisms provided by Alecsgroup, including the privacy preferences area of their account.

Deletion requests may not immediately remove information from backup systems, security logs, fraud-prevention records, legal records, or information that Alecsgroup is legally required or otherwise permitted to retain. Alecsgroup may also delete or restrict access to content that violates these Terms, applicable law, security requirements, or platform policies.

X.7 Secure storage and access controls

Alecsgroup uses commercially reasonable security controls designed to prevent unauthorized access to user accounts, documents, case information, and other confidential platform data. User-uploaded content is not intended to be publicly accessible by default.

Access to documents and case information may be restricted through authentication, authorization, role-based permissions, tenant isolation, case-level permissions, administrative controls, logging, encryption, or other security mechanisms appropriate to the applicable system and service.

Users are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their login credentials and must immediately notify Alecsgroup of suspected unauthorized access. Alecsgroup does not guarantee that any internet-connected system can be completely immune from unauthorized access, cyberattacks, data loss, or security incidents.

X.8 Testimonials, reviews, ratings, and representations

Alecsgroup will not create, publish, purchase, or knowingly permit fraudulent testimonials or materially deceptive reviews that represent that a user experienced a service when the user did not.

Testimonials, ratings, reviews, success stories, and other user-generated statements displayed on Alecsgroup may be subject to verification, moderation, removal, or correction. Users submitting testimonials or reviews represent that their statements are truthful and reflect their genuine experience.

Alecsgroup may remove content that is fraudulent, misleading, defamatory, abusive, unlawful, or otherwise inconsistent with platform policies.

X.9 Subscription cancellation and cancellation rights

Users may cancel eligible Alecsgroup subscriptions through the cancellation method made available by Alecsgroup, including from the subscription area of their account. Alecsgroup will not intentionally make cancellation materially more difficult than the process reasonably necessary to subscribe, subject to applicable law and legitimate account-security requirements.

Unless otherwise stated for a particular subscription, cancellation generally prevents renewal at the end of the applicable paid subscription period and does not automatically entitle the user to a refund for services already provided.

Where applicable law provides a mandatory cancellation or refund right, that right is not waived by these Terms.

X.10 Automatic renewal and renewal notices

Where a subscription automatically renews, Alecsgroup will disclose the recurring nature of the subscription, applicable renewal pricing or pricing terms, billing frequency, and cancellation method at the time of enrollment or otherwise as required by applicable law.

Where legally required or otherwise provided by Alecsgroup's billing practices, users may receive a renewal reminder or other notice before an upcoming renewal. Users are responsible for maintaining accurate billing information and reviewing their subscription status.

Alecsgroup will not intentionally conceal recurring billing terms from users.

X.11 AI safety and self-harm or crisis-related requests

Alecsgroup AI systems, including Avani and other AI-enabled features, are not designed to replace emergency services, medical professionals, mental-health professionals, attorneys, law-enforcement authorities, or other qualified professionals.

Where an AI system detects a request involving imminent self-harm, suicide, violence, or another serious safety concern, the system may provide an appropriate safety-oriented response, encourage the user to seek immediate assistance, and limit or redirect assistance that could facilitate harm.

AI systems may not always correctly identify safety-sensitive situations. Users experiencing an immediate emergency should contact appropriate emergency or crisis resources rather than relying solely on Alecsgroup or an AI system.

X.12 No guarantee of AI accuracy

Alecsgroup does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, reliability, timeliness, or suitability of AI-generated information. AI outputs may be generated from incomplete information or may contain factual, legal, technical, or contextual errors.

Users are responsible for reviewing AI-generated information before acting upon it. Where a matter requires professional legal judgment, users should consult the appropriate qualified legal professional available through or outside the Alecsgroup platform.

X.13 Legal professional responsibility

Alecsgroup operates as a technology and legal-services marketplace/platform and does not, solely by providing the platform, become the user's attorney, notary, bailiff, advocate, or other legal professional.

Where a user engages a lawyer, notary, bailiff, or other legal professional through Alecsgroup, the applicable professional is responsible for the professional services they provide, subject to applicable law and professional rules.

Nothing in these Terms is intended to create an attorney-client relationship solely through registration, use of the platform, or interaction with an Alecsgroup AI assistant.

X.14 Security, fraud prevention, and platform integrity

Alecsgroup may monitor platform activity, authentication events, transactions, account behavior, uploaded content, and other technical signals to detect fraud, abuse, unauthorized access, account takeover, payment fraud, malicious activity, or violations of these Terms.

Alecsgroup may suspend, restrict, investigate, or terminate accounts where reasonably necessary to protect users, legal professionals, Alecsgroup, payment providers, infrastructure, or other parties.

X.15 Remedies for fraudulent content and misconduct

Where a user submits a fraudulent testimonial or review, misrepresents their identity or experience, or otherwise breaches these Terms, Alecsgroup may pursue any combination of the following contractual remedies, to the extent permitted by the governing law:

  • suspension or termination of the offending account;
  • removal or correction of the fraudulent testimonial, review, or rating;
  • reimbursement and chargeback recovery where legally permissible;
  • indemnification for losses, costs, and expenses caused by the user's misconduct;
  • investigation and preservation of relevant evidence and audit records;
  • cooperation with law enforcement or regulators where legally required or permitted;
  • contractual damages where permitted by the governing law.
X.16 No waiver of statutory rights

Nothing in these Terms is intended to eliminate, restrict, or waive any consumer, privacy, data-protection, subscription, refund, or other right that cannot lawfully be waived under applicable law. Where mandatory law provides greater protection than these Terms, the mandatory legal requirement controls to the extent applicable.

X.17 Relationship with the Alecsgroup Privacy Policy

The provisions above must be read together with the Alecsgroup Privacy Policy, Cookie Notice, Subscription and Billing Policy, Refund & Chargeback Policy, AI Policy, Acceptable Use Policy, and other applicable policies.

If a conflict exists between these Terms and a mandatory privacy or data-protection requirement, the applicable mandatory legal requirement controls to the extent required by law.
